  • Assistant Professor Shinichiro Hatta was awarded the 9th Young Scientist Award of the Physical Society of Japan on March 23, 2015.
  • Assistant Professor Takayuki Tanaka, Program-Specific Assistant Professor Kohei Kusada, and Assistant Professor Masaaki Sadakiyo (Kyushu Univ.) were awarded the 31st Inoue Research Award for Young Scientists on December 2, 2014.
  • Professor Yoshitaka Tanimura was elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society with the citation: “For his seminal contributions to the theoretical and computational studies of quantum dissipative dynamics using a hierarchical non-Markovian non-perturbative approach and for pioneering the field of coherent multi-dimensional optical spectroscopy of electronic and nuclear motions in molecules.” (November 22, 2014)
  • Professor Teruo Ono was awarded DOCOMO Mobile Science Award on October 17, 2014.
  • Assistant Professor Hiroyuki Yoshida was awarded the 12th Best Paper Award from Division of Molecular Electronics and Bioelectronics, the Japan Society of Applied Physics on September 18, 2014.
  • Assistant Professor Toshiki Sugimoto was awarded 39th Vacuum Science Paper Award of the Kumatani Memorial Foundation and 23rd Vacuum Society of Japan Award for Innovative Work on July 30, 2014.
  • Assistant Professor Takashi Saito and Professor Yuichi Shimakawa were awarded the 38th Japan Society of Powder and Powder Metallurgy (JSPM) Award for Inovatory Research on June 3, 2014.
  • Associate Professor Takahiro Sasamori was awarded Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Award on May 6, 2014.
